Pretty irritated to have purchased a "new" book which clearly ...

Pretty irritated to have purchased a "new" book which clearly had been opened and on a shelf due to curled corners (front and back covers so probably placed on a shelf and allowed to sink) and broken spine. I would have saved myself the £15 and bought a used book if that is what I had wanted. However, at a content standpoint it appears to be just what the doctor ordered so it could have been worse I suppose. Pretty irritated though.
