Will the 38/40mm band fit a 5.5-6” wrist?

Probably. My wrist is a little over 6" and there's still one more link I could take out. 5.5" might be kinda loose?

Can anyone confirm the color of the metal pin (that attaches to the watch) for dark brown band? Is it silver or black?

I assume you are talking about the magnetic attachment piece for the watch. I have the lighter brown (Zebrawood) and mine are a stainless steel. Looking at a magnified version of the dark brown, the magnetic pieces look black. Have you written the company. I had an issue when I ordered mine because I actually ordered the wrong size (my mistake) and rather than have me send it back to them, they just credited my account.
