What is the heat resistance on the plastic lids? Is it made for canning? Can it withstand 270F?

The plastic lids are for storage only, not for canning. For canning, use Sure-Tight Lids that “help keep canned food sealed for up to 18-Months” (also included).

Why do these jars come with both suretight lids and also white plastic lids? why both? what is the reason for both?
