Amazing Value, exceptional in its class
Hello, I'm a 45 year vet of the music, entertainment and production industry. I own, too many guitars to remember at time, as with gear, and all the goodies. I was looking for something inexpensive, but VERY real...something that worked, something that plays, keeps tune, and has a couple features you would be silly not to seek (acoustic/electric AND tuner) in today's gear. Not expecting to find such (I search guitars and gear endlessly it seems), when i plugged in my search parameters this guitar popped up and I felt my temp rise. I thought NO, no way. Now I own 2. SO here's the skinny - I needed something simple, cheap and easy to take to campgrounds, as strolling thing to plug into a tiny belt clip amp. I have acoustic/electrics but honestly, with campfire sparks, hmmmm, not so much. I also have hundreds of electrics, in top end and kids, plus 3/4 and special shapes, etc., etc. But the thing is, I ALWAYS, always build in back-ups - ways to continue if something in one area fails, and having a small clip amp go out (yes i would have a second) does not presume a guitar won't break, so having acoustic ability made sense for both audible, venue, and backup ideas. This guitar, is like...wow, and then some. Don't get me wrong...the finish is vulnerable, the wood is very thin, and the electronics, tuner, and mechanics.... are right on the line. But it works, keeps tune, the action can be adjusted, the harmonics are ok, it plays well, looks good and sound good acoustically, and electronically. You have to be careful with it, and on both units I bought, the 1/4" guitar jack was lose, one already losing the nut and falling inside, requiring removing the strings and putting back together. But, if you're looking for a REAL guitar, for something like throw away use, or a youngster - wow. I think the only thing I would caution is its durability and strength - kids are hard on stuff (I know I do thousands of kids on stage each year). All that said, I kinda fell in love with them, and find myself more defensive for their protection thinking, hmmm, do I really want to use them for why I bought them. But honestly, in it’s class, this is a CRAZY good item and an exceptional buy!

Great little guitar
I am a drummer but actually started out playing a ¾ size classic guitar with nylon strings back in 1973 and played for a couple of years. I then started on drums and never looked back. Drumming is still my favorite acoustic instrument today but I wanted to go back to playing the acoustic guitar for my personal entertainment and friends. I found the full length guitar to be a lot more challenging and difficult for me to hold the guitar and chord properly and efficiently. I was unintentionally muting strings a lot. I then purchased this ¾ Vangoa guitar which helped me considerably, correcting all of my playing issues and the cutaway is a real plus because I’m able to rest the guitar on my leg with ease with no more sliding around like the regular dreadnought acoustic body style does. Very little finger pressure is needed on the strings when chording so you can play a lot longer on it. I was surprised of the quality and feel of this guitar. The frets are perfectly mounted and don’t stick out over the sides of the neck, the action out of the box was spot on at .011 inches (the thickness of a business card) at the nut end with a capo on the 5th fret. The guitar just needed to be tuned as to be expected. This Vangoa guitar sounds great and no fret buzz. At first I was getting fret buzz on the low “E” and “A” strings but that was my mistake because I was pushing down way too hard on the strings when very little finger pressure was required so this would actually make a great guitar for young beginners as well as for adults. The jack for the amp is a little loose and the body could use one or two more coats of the lacquer coating in my opinion especially the back and sides but for the price it’s okay because the playability of this guitar is perfect. The tuners insides are metal except the tuner housing and keys are plastic so tune slowly. You could always change and upgrade the tuners if needed. The body wood feels thin and the depth of this Vangoa is a little more than 5/8" thinner than a full size guitar which makes it easier to play. Hopefully it stays tuned and the action stays the same, I will do an update if anything changes. I never seen a picture of a full size guitar next to a ¾ size guitar in any of the other reviews so I thought this one would help for size comparison. Update: 4/3/2019 Guitar constantly goes out of tune and now I can feel the frets sticking past the neck for some strange reason. Still enjoy playing it though.

great beginner guitar.
I'm learning to play again to gain more mobility in my fingers. It's a nice beginner guitar. I replaced the strings with extra light strings to make it easier to chord and the sound is ok. For the money it's a great value. You can add an amp if you want, it comes with a pickup and has a built in tuner plus a tuner for the headstock. It came with picks, strap and a nice gitbag. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

I can't believe this price!! What a bargain!!
What a fun little guitar! Right out of the bag the guitar looks great! Cool cut away design, embossed logo on the headstock, even the shape of the bridge is cool. I bought this for my kids to play on, but I might have to fight them for it. It's has a smaller neck and scale so it feels more like an electric guitar neck, pretty cool! Sounds pretty good for a smaller guitar, you can't honestly expect a huge full sound out of a guitar this size, but it does sound pretty good! Great for a student, kids, younger players or if you've wanted to mess with a travel size guitar, but don't want to fork over hundreds more for a baby Taylor or Martin LX this would be a great way to go. Maybe just one to keep in the office or take it anywhere in the included backpack style back. Comes with some cool accessories. With the the shorter scale you need to work with the capo a little, figure out the sweet spot to put it, but that's just part of learning and adapting. It's all good. I ordered this one for the kids and one of the full size for myself. Kudos Vangoa!

Great guitar for this price point!
For the price, this thing rocks. I purchased this one, because while recording, I needed to do a couple of short acoustic parts. Upon tracking, I noticed that my B and high E strings had significant volume drop. I contacted Vangoa, and they sent me a replacement that was in my hands in mere days. Upon restringing, adjusting the truss rod and tuning, I tried to retrack the part. It’s perfect. While it doesn’t have the same, rich tones as premium priced acoustic guitars, what you get for just over $100 is a cut above similar priced instruments. The guitar comes in a handy, compact 3/4 scale so it’s perfect for any age, aspiring, budding musician. It has a built in tuner, volume control (for when you’re plugged in), and both bass and treble boosts/cuts. A great add on is, when you’re plugged in and turn the tuner on, it cuts the output signal. Not a huge deal, but a little thing that’s pretty handy. Vangoa’s customer service is spot on, and this guitar has plenty of bang for not a lot of buck. Highly recommend. The attached clip is played directly into my preamp, into the USB plug—straight into logic (GarageBand+). The signal going in is flat, with absolutely no EQ in logic. I added a slight delay to the clip, but this is an example of unadulterated tone this instrument can produce. (full disclosure, the original song is Ghost, “He Is.” All rights for the appropriate parties)

Wonderful guitar with everything I need!
This is my first guitar. It arrived in time. The guitar is gorgeous. It's the perfect size for me. It's got a good heft to it and the matte finish on the back, sides, and face feels good. It comes with all the accessories as advertised. The bag is very good quality. It has straps on the back (for your back) and a strap on the side for carrying it by hand. The guitar fits perfectly, and I don't have to fight to get it in or out. The strap is better than any other straps that I have for my other string instruments. It's wide and is extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The cloth is soft and gently cleans the guitar. The tuner is well-made and very easy to use. I was initially worried after reading a few of the latest reviews that the sharp flat edges. And obviously, I have no need to worried about it on this guitar, the fret edges are smooth. The guitar neck is easy to hold comfortably and the action can be adjusted. It'll need tuning first, but even then, the quality is outstanding. Highly recommend this guitar.

Unplayable/Untunable
I’ve been playing the ukulele for 2 years now, which is why I wanted to transition into learning guitar. I wasn’t looking for the best guitar out there, but one that was affordable with decent quality. This guitar wasn’t that. My specific guitar was awful. It was difficult to tune, and would go out of tune drastically. None of the strings would even stay in tune for more than a few seconds. I returned this guitar immediately, and purchased an Orangewood Dana guitar instead, similarly priced, that I am very happy with. I was able to tune it in seconds, it stayed in tune exceptionally well, and I’m more than happy with the sound quality for the price I paid. All in all, I just hope no one else gets the guitar I returned because it was truly awful and unplayable. I’d recommend looking elsewhere and not risk getting a similarly made bad guitar.

Awesome so far
For $130, this is a great value. We bought this for our 10 yr old who thinks that learning the guitar will get him out of piano lessons. I play and my full size is too large so we opted for the 3/4. It is still a smidge big but he can still get his fingers around the fret board. The sound is pretty good for the price you pay. No complaints. The strings have stayed mostly in tune over a couple of days. They are new strings so I don’t expect them to stay perfect over time. The tuning pegs do seem a little loose so I feel like there is some lost resolution in the tuning. The built in tuner works pretty good. Compared to the tuning app on my phone and the included external tuner, they all are pretty much right on. The capo isn’t the best but it works, the strap is nice and the case is decent. The zippers are a little sticky but it works. The pick guard doesn’t seem to line up the way I expect so we haven’t installed that. Haven’t plugged it into the amp yet to see how the pickup works but so far, for a beginner 10 year old and for the price, I’m happy. We also got him a FenderPlay subscription and it’s fun to see him be excited about it. Looking forward to some jam sessions together.
