I am happy with this, but if you have an older mini with two SSDs or the heavier spinners, you'll need to add a little support in the rear to help keep it nice and square.

As far as achieving a rack mount solution for your Apple Mac Mini, this product is what you been looking for. Currently I'm not aware of any other products that even exist that make it possible to rack mount a Mac Mini. That being said, there are a few fitment quirks that you have to either accept or get creative and attempt to remedy them yourself. The most obvious fitment issue is the front panel. It seems to bow outwards when mounted in a rack. The second quirk is more of a misleading design flaw than an actual fitment issue. In order to press the on/off button on the back of the Mac Mini, you must pull the gray button on the rack mount panel outward and towards yourself. The exact opposite of what your intuition would normally have you do. I mean, buttons are for pressing, right? Looking at the photos prior to ordering, I had assumed (wrongfully) that the designers of this rack mount had come up with a clever way of accesing the Mac Mini's power button from the front panel of the mount via a remote button. In my mind I thought that it must function with the help of a cantilever type system. I never once imagined that I would have to pull back on the gray button like firing up a round of pinball to turn on/off my computer. Despite these quirks and an overall underwhelming build quality, I am happy with my purchase. Until someone else goes out and designs and builds a better solution, this is what we consumers have to work with. I hope this review helps others with their purchasing decision.

Cheap flimsy plastic. Bowed as soon as I placed my computer in it. Immediately took it out and disassembled, which was hard to do without breaking it. Trying to return it, looks like I won’t be able to. I’m out the fifty bucks. Useless trash.

The plastic face is too flimsy for the rigors of gigging.

The instructions were very clear and easy to follow with the matched markings on the pieces that need to be assembled with a few screws (all supplied). Very strong and sturdy components, the "pull" button arm works greatfor turning on the mac mini without having to reach behind. The added support plates are a great touch to support cables etc that might weigh down the unit. Highly recommended! Couldn't find anything better for 19" rack mount solution for the newest generation mac mini.

What a great way to clean up a workspace! This thing makes it easy to tidy up around your keyboard and move that CPU away. Would be nice to have the ability to mount USB extenders up front. I'm making custom modifications to do so.

It is 3D printed plastic. The on/off “button” has to be pulled out to hit the power button. It is functional, but barely.

Works great, looks great. Two issues: because it’s made of 3D-printed material, it’s not that strong, and this droops at the back. Also, I can never get the pull-to-power-off thing to work—at all.

Cumple con su cometido pero hay que tener en cuebta que esta hecho en plastico y no puede sorportar el peso de forma suspendida, es bastante endeble

Heb een beetje geduld met in elkaar zetten en kijk goed. De beschrijving is niet de allerbeste, maar voldoet. Het is van plastic en buigt een beetje. Het ziet er prima uit in mijn rek! Ik raad dit alleen aan als je niet te hoge eisen stelt en ‘goed is goed genoeg’ instelling hebt.

Il est dit que c’est en plastique ABS mais seul la face avant l’est, le reste est en impression 3D de mauvaise qualité, l’ensemble est souple, si votre Mac mini ne repose pas sur une surface plane son poids fait tordre le rack. Le miens repose à l’intérieur de mon rack mais la face avant est quand même légèrement tordue vers l’extérieur. Oui c’est moins cher qu’un rack Sonnet mais même pour ce prix là la qualité n’est pas du tout satisfaisante.
