Can anyone tell me the capacity of this?

It makes about 2 to 2.5ml of espresso coffee, enough for one double shot. If you add hot water, you've made an americano, with milk too, a regular cup of white coffee. I'd buy the 3 cup pot and that gives 4.5 to 5ml strong coffee. You can still use it to make for one by adding less water/coffee...better still, I also have bigger capacity pots, for serving to 3 or 4 guests.

dose it work on a electric hob

yes, I have an electric cooker. But I think that it is better not put the maximum.

the main body is aluminium but some constituent parts are stainless steel

Is this model (2cup) a genuine bialetti? anywhere else (including bialtti's website or john lewis) they only sell 1,3,6,12 cup models
