The pre-filter captures a significant amount of debris; the carbon filter effectively reduces odors; and the HEPA filter operates seamlessly without any bypass leaks. During the pest control cleanup, the carbon stage made a remarkable difference in odor control, creating a much more pleasant workspace. **Durability & Duty Cycle:** I have used this machine for extended periods without any overheating or excessive vibration. Its robust housing is perfectly suited for the demands of real-world applications, from loading and unloading to stacking and moving between jobs. The controls are user-friendly and feel impressively durable. **Maintenance:** Changing filters is a breeze—quick and hassle-free! The CADPXS 550 Air Scrubber has a simple and heavy duty design that works as intended. Just like you would expect from an air scrubber, it helps keep your work space air clean. I’ll share the pros and cons from my perspective, and hopefully those will help you make an informed purchasing decisions. Sorry for the bad audio in the unboxing video, I need to get a better microphone. Pros: ============== Simple & Minimal Packaging: * The first things that caught my attention was the simple and effective packaging. The CADPXS 550 arrives in thick cardboard with just two small foam pieces. Tool-Free Filter Access: * Practically this is an important feature. This makes it easy to clean the pre-filter, or swap out filters. Just flip the two quick latches and lift the lid. Personally I like this design because my other air scrubber needs 4 screws loosened with a screwdriver to access the filter. Robust Design and Quality Materials: * The quality of the plastic seems very durable. I expect it to have a long lifetime and take on daily work abuse without issue. The weight of the unit is nice, its a slightly lighter and smaller than my other 550 air scrubber so that makes it slightly easier to move it around. Lighted Power Cord: * The power cord has a light feature enhances visibility, making it easier to locate the power source in dimly lit spaces. It's a small detail that goes a long way in terms of user convenience. Persistent Display Hour Meter: * The hour usage meter meter displays the hours even with the power unplugged. This is a nice touch. Maybe it’s an e-ink display. Well Placed Control Panel: * In relation to the exhaust, the control panel is located on the side. This is great because if you’re pointing the exhaust up in the air, the control panel is still easily accessible. My other air scrubber has the control panel on the opposite side of the exhaust which means it’s on the floor when pointing up and not accessible. Great job on the placement of this. Price: * The price seems of this seems to be in the mid-range for 550 CFM Air Scrubbers on Amazon. I have not used any BlueDri products, but this CADPXS air scrubber design seems comparable to the industry standard BlueDri 500. Cons: ============== CFM Output Feels SLIGHTLY Less Than My Other Air Scrubber: * I have another 550 CFM air scrubber I regularly use. The output of my other one feels stronger than this CADPXS one. Maybe I will get an anemometer (airflow meter) so I can test the output/input of my air scrubbers. The air inlet hole is is a little smaller on the CADPXS compared to my other air scrubber, maybe that has an effect on output. Rigid Carrying Handle as Opposed to Strap: * The carrying handle is rigid, which makes it very sturdy and great to grip. But I prefer the flexibility of fold-flat strap handles. This rigid handle might be issue for storing/stacking, and if the handle ever breaks it won’t be possible to replace like a strap handle can. Filter - Carbon & HEPA Not Separate: * I think this is common for Air Scrubbers to have the Carbon & HEPA filters attached to each other. Would probably be nice is you could easily replace them independently from each other. No UV Light: * If you need a UV light, this does not have one. Most of my use situations do not require one, but it might be nice for the occasional use. The CADPXS 550 Air Scrubber does its duty helping clean my work space air. It’s always great to have an air scrubber running in work environments to reduce risk of breathing particles or making more of a mess than needed. I will be using this air scrubber regularly for construction projects like demolition, remodeling, drywalling, cleanup etc. I am looking forward to cleaning my pre-filter more regularly because of the quick tool free latch design.

The CADPXS 550 has an elegant simple desig. It’s heavy duty but effecient, easy to Cary and manipulate but gets the job done. With multiple speed settings and a built in outlet for dolly chaining equipment it is a great machine . What follows are my pros and cons of the unit Pros: ============== Easy to open and use: The scrubber comes in a simple box, easy to use and access. It is very easy to set up Tool-Free Filter Access: Easy access for any technician trained or untrained. The filter compartment is easy to access and get into and out of no tools required. A simple snap latch feature makes accessing the unit easy, and makes the use of instructions or training almost non exhistant as it is easy to get in and out of. Design: This unit is made for commercial, heavy duty work. It was built and designed with quality plastic. It is light and easy to carry, yet you can tell it will stand the rest of rigorous work load and activity. It is designed effeciently to be used as needed in a tough trade. You can tell the 550 is ready be used in the situations it is needed for. Price point Compared to other units of similar grade and use.. this machine is extremely fair priced and competitive to anything on the market! The usefulness for the price is perfect and makes this an easy no question buy. Hour meter This is a great feature to track job hours, and time on site. In the restoration industry this is huge to paint the picture to adjusters and let them know how long equipment was used. Control panel access: The control panel is placed in a great spot for any use. It is easily accessible wheatjer placing down or up, it is also easy to use and the features are easily readable and useable. The ease of use makes this a great buy for anyone looking to get into restoration, or the basic homeowner looking to purify their air. Cons: ============== CFM Output Feels SLIGHTLY Less Than My Other Air Scrubber: * I have another 550 CFM air scrubber I regularly use. The output of my other one feels stronger than this CADPXS one. A smaller inlet hole allows less air to flow in and out. It seems relatively strong though slightly less than other units of the same size: Filter - Carbon & HEPA Not Separate: This is common in scrubbers and though not objective to just tjos scrubber it would be handy if both were separated for ease of use and access Overall The CADPXS 550 Air Scrubber, I’d a great addition to my equipment. It provides ease of use and is handy for day to day. When we do a large volume of mold this is a great acquisition. For the price Point. It is a very good unit. And fair. I have run it on multiple job sites now and it has helped clean the air and ensure that we passed the mold test multiple times I strongly recommend this unit as a great guy

I bought the CADPXS Shield-550 to help with air quality during a renovation project, and it’s been a solid purchase. Right out of the box, it felt sturdy and well-built. The suction power is impressive, and it noticeably reduces dust and odors in the air. Setup was super easy, just plug it in and go. It runs fairly quietly for what it is, though at higher speeds, it’s a bit loud (which is expected). The HEPA filter does its job well, and I like that replacement filters are easy to find. When we had forest fires we used this and it worked great for fighting the bad air quality this was a life saver for me and my household. Only minor downside is the weight it’s not the easiest thing to move around, but that’s a trade-off for its durability. Overall, great for construction, water damage cleanup, or just improving air quality. Definitely recommend if you need something heavy-duty! Would buy again.

This machine is serious air filtering machine. Fairly quiet and works amazing.

We bought this for a mold remediation work. It's high quality, everything on it is built to last. We used it to create a negative air containment, which worked great. It moves a lot of air and the HEPA filter provided the peace of mind needed to tackle the project. It's made from durable and sturdy plastic, the fan speed knob is high quality metal. It's easy to disassemble, clean and replacement filters are reasonably priced. The additional outlet next to the fan speed is a nice touch and would come in handy. Post project and cleaning, we continue to use it as an air cleaner occasionally in our home. It is a bit loud for constant use while in close proximity. Highly recommended for renovation and remediation projects.

Worked well for a year of light use then would not turn on.

I just picked up this new air scrubber. I like that it has a very sturdy build and variable speed! Please check out the video review for the basics,... It's very easy to use. Just plug it in and turn the dial to adjust the speed. That's it. The Variable speed dial is a sturdy metal dial with very smooth rotation and a nice click at the end so you can feel it when it's turned on or off. It has an hourmeter to keep track of hours on the job. GFCI plugs so you can plug other equipment into it or daisy-chain multiple air scrubbers together. Changing the filter is very easy. Just open a couple of clamps and you have access to the filter. No tools necessary. I have a couple of air scrubbers that requires an Allen wrench to open and access the filter,... and it can be a pain to find one when you need it😅 Great seals all around! The substantial foam intake cover creates a good seal to prevent puffback,... unlike other air scrubbers with flimsy plastic intake cover. Foam gaskets to seal the tip and bottom if the filter as well as around the filter compartment insures that air will not go around the filter. Nice, lighted power cord is a simple feature, but very useful to know whether it is plugged to a live outlet or not. Boul-in cord wrap makes it easy to store the power cord neatly around the unit. It comes with a pre-filter and a HEPA and Carbon filter which does a great job to filter out particulates as well as odor when you're working around sewage or fire damage. Overall, a solid air scrubber with all the features I need. I'm looking forward to use it at work to put many-many hours on it👍😄 If you're looking for an air scrubber, I don't think you can go wrong with this one. Grab one and try it out for yourself!
