Side affects , food poisoning

We ordered this product based on advice from an ayurvedic doctor to treat, weight gained by and due to hypothyroid. The suggestion was to take this along with other ayurvedic medicine triphala choorna with honey. While other Ayurvedic medicine were being taken and did not have any side affects and was actually working and showing results, the day this jamalgotta powder was taken, it lead to serious giddiness and vomiting and loose motions immediately leading to acute dehydration. Leading to 03 days at hospital to come out of this affect
