The 7th Edition equips you with a solid understanding of digestion, absorption, and metabolism of fat, protein, and carbohydrates; examines the structures and functions of water-soluble and fat-soluble vitamins -- including their regulatory roles in metabolism; and provides information on vitamin and mineral food sources, recommended intakes, deficiency, and toxicity. With ADVANCED NUTRITION AND HUMAN METABOLISM, 7th Edition, you will be well prepared to continue your studies in the field of nutrition. Review: Exactly as described - Love having an updated version of this textbook. Very help resource for nutrition professionals or students! Review: Invaluable Resource - Provides current, fundamental breakdown of all key elements involved in metabolism (ie vitamins, minerals, etc). The detailed metabolic interactions/pathways they follow, deficiency/excess levels and outcomes. Basically everything you could want to know. They continue to come out with updated versions as research provides further insight...which is good and bad because if you want the latest info, you have to update your purchase every 3-5 years. Still, worth every dollar.

This is a really great book on nutrition
This is a really great book on nutrition. It can be used as an introduction, but it much more comprehensive than most textbooks. It is a slim book but very well written and concise. Some of the information in the book is hard to get elsewhere.

A beginner level uni book that was otherwise hard to obtain from regular bookstore
As I am into nutrition and their relationships with human body functions in depth, this book is really good.
