Highly recommended, easy to use and remove.
Love this stuff!! I have oriental rugs on hardwood floors throughout my home and this Rug Gripper works perfectly. We have two dogs and they tend to turn up the corners of even the larger rugs that would not normally require gripper. I use this on the corners and high-traffic areas and it works great to keep the rugs down and in place. I have a long, narrow hallway and was unable to purchase a single runner. I found four narrow matching rugs and stuck them down with this Rug Gripper and it works great. They stay in place for about two-years before I need to pull them up, remove and replace the gripper tape. High traffic areas need to be replaced more often, but that is understandable. I purchase a few boxes at a time so I have plenty on hand for replacement and have never had a box lose its stickiness while in storage which in some cases has been several years. When you peel the gripper off of your floors it understandably leaves a residue which is easily removed. I usually rub it with my hands in a wiping motion to roll it off the floor. I then spray the area with the cleaner that I use on the floors and work the rest of the residue off with a rag. It takes a few repeats of this process, but it does not happen often and is so worth it in the long run. After the floor is dried and the rugs are vacuumed both front and back I apply the gripper to the backs of the rugs (or in some cases directly to the floor) and replace the rugs. From my experience, for larger rugs you only need one strip on a corner or down the middle for a larger runner. For smaller rugs, doing a four-sided frame an inch or two inside the border is more effective.

Worked great the first time. Tape doesn't last if you don't use it all right away.
It worked great the first time. I put some on a high-traffic area of my apartment and it held the rug down without issue for a long time. As soon as the rug got pulled up, the stick was no good and new tape had to be used. For some reason, the tape didn't hold as well the second and third time I used it. Only the first strips worked and it felt like the extra tape being in storage loses it's stick if not used right away. I have one rug I put it on that is still in place now, while the other rug after moving once went through the last half of the roll and never stayed the same again. I'd say if you have extra tape in storage more than 6 months, it will noticeably be less effective than a fresh roll.

Very easy to install and keeps my rugs and mats in place.
My dog runs around all the time and the rugs in y house get crumpled and tossed around. Since I used this under both the rugs on carpets as well as on wooden floors, the rugs stay in place. I am delighted. Furthermore, application is so easy. I first keep the rug where I want it and fold it back on one side. I peel back the yellow backing of the sticky tape. Then I pick up the actual sticky tape and cut it to the length I need. It is sticky but not so much that you cannot do this. I stick the cut piece onto the folded back of the rug and straighten it in place and press down to stick. Repeat on the other side. So simple. Only thing is, I ensure that the yellow backing that remains on the roll is always longer than the sticky tape, else it is a little difficult to separate it.

Outstanding!
We just bought a house that has a nice looking linoleum floor. Alas, even though it's a nice looking floor, I like carpet and we live in an area that routinely dips below zero (sometimes well below) in the winter, so the floor is always a bit colder than I'd like it to be. I bought a 5' x 8' area rug from Cabela's. It looks nice and does what I want it to: keep the area in front of the couch and loveseat a bit warmer. However, it would slide around on the linoleum at the faintest hint of contact. After reading reviews for a number of products found on Amazon, I opted to go with this tape. I have to admit: after receiving it and looking it over, I was skeptical. But my skepticism has, thus far, proved to be unfounded. This stuff works. We have had it in place for several weeks now, and I'm extremely pleased so far. We have two daughters (9 and 12) as well as an 8 month old lab puppy. The rug so far has been rock solid, almost like it's glued to the floor. I put a strip (full length) around each side of the rug; there is nothing in the middle. Again, it has yet to move at all, even when the girls are playing hard with the pup. Despite how firmly it has held, it lifts easily. I've lifted the corner several times simply because I'm amazed at how well it's held. I don't know if it would do as well with other combinations of flooring and rugs, and I'm not sure what to think about how durable it will be over the long haul, but after a month or so it flat out works with our linoleum floor and area rug. Follow-up: After seven months my carpet still hasn't budged so much as a millimeter- and my kids and dog are VERY active in the living room. Once in a while I reach down and pick up a corner and it still comes up as easily as if nothing's attached at all. All products should be this effective.

Sticky to hands, not to back of carpet!
Amazon should allow a person choose zero stars! This is the worst carpet tape we’ve used! It doesn’t stick to the carpet, but does stick to your hands. Waste of time and money. The yellow plastic that needs to come off so it will be tacky on both sides is nearly impossible to separate from the tape! Get the carpet tapes that have a rubber side that that keeps rugs in place on hardwood or carpeted floors.

Easy to use
They are easy to use - just cut the length that you need and place the tape either on the floor first or put the tape on the carpet. I recommend that when the tape is applied set something heavy on the rug. For me it works well.

Hi, I definitely recommend the product bcz it's great especially working on carpet floor. After I used it, all my naughty small rugs became still! I suggest that you buy 2 packs if you have lots of rugs and big size carpets. I regretted that I only purchased one, so when I used it, I have to economized on it.:(

It wasn't sticky enough to do the job - I ended up using double sided carpet tape along with this.
